CarCulator

Privacy policy

The short version

CarCulator keeps your cars' history on your phone only. It has no account, no internet access, no ads and no analytics. We never see your data.

What the app stores

What you type or add: your cars, records, fill-ups, mileage, reminders, documents and their photos or PDF files. All of it stays in the app's private storage on your phone.

What the app sends

Nothing. The app does not have the Internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere. We collect no personal data, usage data, location or device identifiers, and share nothing with anyone.

Permissions

  • Notifications: to remind you on the day something is due. You can turn them off in the app or in Android settings.
  • Run at startup: to set your reminders again after the phone restarts. Nothing else runs.
  • Camera and photos: the app uses Android's own camera and photo picker, only when you choose to add a photo. It does not ask for the camera or photo library permissions.
  • App lock: if you turn it on, Android asks for your fingerprint, face or screen lock. The app never sees or stores them.

Backups

A backup file is made only when you ask, and saved or shared where you choose. You can protect it with a password; without the password it cannot be opened. Android's cloud backup is turned off for this app.

Deleting your data

Deleted items go to Recently deleted and are removed for good after the number of days you choose. Uninstalling the app deletes all its data from the phone.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
